Actasulide is an anti-inflammatory drug of various groups, belonging to the pharmaceutical group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Actasulide is produced in Serbia and Montenegro by the Zdravlje-Leskovac HFZ company and has the international name Nimesulide.

The active substance of Actasulide is nimesulide. The drug is available in the form of 100 mg tablets. It is used to treat osteoarthritis, osteoarthrosis, bursitis, tendinitis, pain and inflammatory processes in injuries, in the postoperative period, gynecological and infectious-inflammatory diseases.

Nise gel is a form of Actasulide intended for external use for inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system, such as articular syndrome with rheumatism and exacerbation of gout, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, osteochondrosis with radicular syndrome, radiculitis, inflammatory damage to ligaments, tendons, bursitis, sciatica, lumbago, as well as muscle pain of rheumatic and non-rheumatic origin and post-traumatic inflammation of soft tissues and the musculoskeletal system, such as damage and ruptures of ligaments and bruises.

Actasulide has a number of contraindications, including hypersensitivity, gastric and duodenal ulcers in the acute stage, severe liver and kidney dysfunction, gastrointestinal bleeding, type 2 diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, congestive heart failure, pregnancy, lactation and children under 12 years.

Side effects that may occur when using Actasulide include headache, dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, heartburn, stomach pain, tarry stools, melena, petechiae, purpura, oliguria and allergic reactions such as exanthema, erythema and urticaria. When using Nise gel, local reactions may occur, such as itching, urticaria, peeling and transient changes in skin color.

Actasulide may interact with some other medications, so before starting treatment, you should consult your doctor and tell him or her about all medications you are taking, including those you can buy without a prescription.

In general, Actasulide is an effective and safe remedy when used correctly and following the doctor’s recommendations. However, like any medicine, it may have side effects and contraindications, so self-medication is not recommended.
