Alkalosis Respiratory

Alkalosis is a violation of acid-base balance, an increase in the concentration of hydrogen ions (H+) in the body or a decrease in blood pH, due to various reasons. Depending on the nature of the increase in pH, respiratory and metabolic alkaloses are distinguished. Respiratory alkalosis is caused by excessive intake of alkaline agents into the body with respiratory air.

Respiratory alkalosis is a pathology of the respiratory system, which is characterized by a high pH level. This type of alkalosis can be caused by various reasons, such as prolonged hyperventilation, accumulation of carbon dioxide in the blood, taking certain medications, and respiratory diseases. Respiratory alkalosis is a very dangerous condition that can lead to serious health consequences.
