Indications for use: Used to treat infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to it, including mixed infections. The main indications for use are peritonitis and other infections of the abdominal and pelvic cavity, gynecological infections, septicemia, endocarditis, urinary tract infections, gonorrhea, respiratory tract infections, infections of the skin, soft tissues, bones and joints.

Contraindications: Contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to cephalosporins. The drug should not be prescribed to pregnant women (the danger of a teratogenic effect has not been sufficiently studied). The drug is excreted in human milk; It should be used in nursing mothers only if absolutely indicated.

Side effect: When administered intravenously, thrombophlebitis may develop. When administered intramuscularly, pain may occur (and therefore it is recommended to use lidocaine to dissolve the local anesthetic) and local tissue compaction is possible.
