Dosage forms: solution for injection 0.5%
Composition: Active ingredient - Bupivacaine.
Indications for use: Caudal, epidural, lumbar and conduction (in dentistry), retrobulbar anesthesia, sympathetic blockade.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to local anesthetics, especially the amide group, children (under 12 years of age). Restrictions on use: pregnancy, breastfeeding (must be discontinued), liver diseases with impairment of its functions.
Side effects: Symptoms of excitation or depression of the central nervous system (restlessness, anxiety, dizziness, tinnitus, blurred vision, tremors of the limbs, generalized convulsions), paralysis of the limbs, paralysis of the respiratory muscles, bradycardia, dysfunction of the sphincters, urinary retention, paresthesia and numbness of the limbs, impotence, decreased cardiac output, sinus node block, hypotension, bradycardia, ventricular arrhythmias, incl. ventricular tachycardia, cardiac arrest.

Overdose: Symptoms: hypotension (up to collapse), bradycardia (possible cardiac arrest), ventricular arrhythmias, respiratory depression, confusion, convulsions. Treatment: there is no specific antidote. Symptomatic therapy is carried out, including, if necessary, mechanical ventilation and support of the cardiovascular system.
