Aneurysm Lateral

**Aneurysm of the lateral aorta** is a pathological expansion of the wall of a paired vessel, which is located directly behind the aortic arch. The length of the artery and the number of vessels in its composition strictly correspond to the size of the heart. In the zone of the 3rd space of the vascular shadow on the left there is an aortic arch, from which some large branches extend in different directions.

The lateral aneurysmal portion can form in a variety of ways. The lateral arterial vessel is formed after atrophy of the right carotid artery or the left subclavian artery, which are located behind the aorta in the ring.

If aneurysms occur during acute or chronic disturbance of blood flow in the brain or other parts, the disease is subject to conservative treatment with vasospasm. Even a unilateral aneurysm, if serious complications develop, is no longer subject to conservative therapy and requires surgery.
