Arterial aneurysms: diagnosis and treatment

*An aneurysm is a bulge of an artery wall into a cavity containing blood pressure.* Diagnosis of arterial aneurysms is complicated by the fact that they sometimes occur without characteristic signs or symptoms. But the main cause of complications, including such dangerous conditions as arterial bleeding, blockage of the lumen and others, is not the patient’s lack of contact with a doctor, but the untimely initiation of treatment. Hemorrhage into the wall of the aneurysm and emptying of the vessel are the first and most often observed manifestations of the disease. Pain, focal neurological disorders and significant disturbances in the functioning of internal organs are also possible. In the vast majority of cases of aneurysms as complications of aortic atherosclerosis, surgical treatment is necessary.
