Angioma Sclerosing

Sclerosing angioma (a. sclerosans) is a benign neoplasm that is a malformation of blood vessels. With sclerosing angioma, there is an increase in the number of blood vessels in a limited area of ​​tissue.

Characteristic signs of sclerosing angioma are:

  1. Localized thickening of the skin or subcutaneous tissue of varying sizes.

  2. Blue or reddish coloration of the skin over the lesion.

  3. When pressing on the seal it does not disappear.

  4. Can be raised above skin level.

  5. Painless formation, does not cause discomfort.

  6. Slow growth over the years.

  7. More common in children, less common in adults.

Treatment of sclerosing angioma involves surgical removal of the tumor or the use of sclerotherapy - the introduction of special substances into the lesion that cause sclerosis of the blood vessels. The prognosis with timely treatment is favorable.
