Angioneurosis

Angioedema (from the Latin angion - vessel and neurosis; synonym: hygroma) is an acute dilatation of the saphenous veins, resulting from direct inflammation of the walls of blood vessels or a decrease in the tone of their walls for reasons other than inflammation. Other names are varicose veins, hygromas of the extremities, inflammation of the veins. Angioneurosis occurs almost exclusively in women 30-50 years old; obese women suffer more; men suffer from angioneurosis almost five times less often than women. It is generally accepted to consider angioneurosis as a peripheral vascular disease, so vascular surgeons consider this disease to be hemodynamic.
