Ankrusal is an antiulcer drug that has an enveloping, adsorbent and antacid effect.

Manufacturer - Kutnovsky pharmaceutical plant Polfa (Poland).

The international name is sucralfate.

Synonyms - Alsukral, Andapsin, Venter, Keal, Sukrabest, Sucralfate-Ratiopharm, Sucralfate, Sucralfate suspension, Sucras, Sucrat, Sucrafil.

Dosage form - tablets 500 mg.

Ingredients: active ingredient sucralfate.

Indications for use: peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, damage to the gastrointestinal mucosa, hyperacid gastritis, gastroesophageal reflux disease, hyperphosphatemia during hemodialysis.

Contraindications - hypersensitivity, dysphagia, gastrointestinal obstruction, gastrointestinal bleeding, renal failure, pregnancy, age under 4 years.

Side effects - dyspepsia, constipation, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headaches, dizziness, dry mouth, rash, itching.

Interaction - reduces the absorption of some antibiotics and other drugs.

Overdose - no data.

Special instructions - control aluminum levels in case of renal failure, observe intervals when taking with antacids.
