Anthritis: symptoms, causes and treatment

Anthritis, also known as otoanthritis, is an inflammatory disease of the antral mucosa, which is located at the front of the skull. Anthritis can cause discomfort and soreness in the forehead, nose and eyes, and can lead to various complications if not diagnosed and treated promptly.

Symptoms of anthritis may include headache, pressure in the forehead, nose and eyes, nasal congestion, loss of smell, nasal discharge and elevated body temperature. In more severe cases, anthritis can lead to complications such as sepsis, meningitis and brain abscesses.

Anthritis can be caused by infections, allergies, nasal polyps and a deformed nasal septum. The risk of developing anthritis also increases in people who smoke, have weakened immune systems, or suffer from chronic diseases.

Treatment for anthritis may include antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medications, and topical nasal drops. In more severe cases, surgery may be required to remove infected tissue or nasal polyps.

To prevent anthritis, it is recommended to avoid smoking, maintain a healthy lifestyle and take steps to strengthen the immune system. If you have symptoms of anthritis, you should see a doctor for diagnosis and treatment. Timely treatment can help avoid complications and quickly return to normal life.
