Anuria Intoxication

Intoxication anuria (a. ex intoxicatione) is a condition in which there is a sudden cessation or significant decrease in urine output (less than 100 ml per day) due to toxic damage to the kidneys.

The causes of intoxication anuria can be different - poisoning with heavy metals, drugs, poisons, etc. As a result of intoxication, damage to the kidney tubules and disruption of their filtration function occur.

Clinical manifestations include lack of urination, swelling, and increased levels of creatinine and urea in the blood. For treatment, detoxification methods, fluid replenishment, and diuretics are used. With timely treatment, renal function can be restored. However, intoxication anuria can lead to the development of acute renal failure if emergency measures are not taken.
