Extrarenal anuria

Anuria is extrarenal anuric failure.

Anuria is the complete cessation of urine flow into the bladder. It can be prerenal, renal and extrarenal. Prerenal (abluminal) form of anuria refers to conditions associated with impaired urine outflow due to damage to blood vessels. Renal (hepatorenal) anuria is caused by acute and chronic diseases of the kidneys or various systems involved in the formation of urine. The extrarenal form of anuri should be diagnosed if the disturbance in urine formation is associated with extrarenal causes. Most often, bilateral anuria is observed.
