Apical-granular cells

Apical and granular cells are two important types of cells that play important roles in the body. They function as barriers to protect the body from infectious diseases and other harmful substances. In this article we will take a closer look at what apical granular cells are and what functions they perform in the human body.

1. General information about Apical and Granular cells: Apical granular or acidophilic granular (ACA) cells are a special type of cell that is part of the intestinal wall. ACA cells have a unique structure: on the outside they are covered with a special cuticle layer, consisting of a monomolecular layer of glycoproteins. The facets of acidophilus in the cell structure produce microbes that promote reproduction, as well as immune cells. Also, acidophysical facets include special cellular structures that protect the inner surface of the intestinal canal from infectious effects.
