Dosage forms: 25 mg tablets, 50 mg tablets, 75 mg tablets
Composition: Active ingredient - dipyridamole.
Indications for use: Prevention of thromboembolic syndrome after heart valve replacement surgery, prevention of occlusion of stents and coronary artery bypass grafts (in combination with aspirin), peripheral vascular lesions, prevention of placental insufficiency during complicated pregnancy, treatment and prevention of disseminated intravascular coagulation syndrome in children with infectious toxicoses and septicemia, three-component treatment of glomerulonephritis, platelet suppression syndrome in children, dipyridamole-thallium-201 perfusion scintigraphy with exercise, dipyridamole stress echocardiography.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity, acute myocardial infarction, severe atherosclerotic lesions of the coronary vessels with a developed collateral system, predisposition to hypotension, severe intraventricular conduction disturbances, severe arterial hypertension, severe liver dysfunction, hemorrhagic diathesis, obstructive pulmonary diseases, II and III trimesters of pregnancy, childhood and adolescence (up to 12 years).
Side effects: Nausea, abdominal discomfort, facial flushing, coronary steal syndrome (exacerbation of coronary heart disease), headaches, dizziness, bleeding, hypotension, thrombocytopenia, changes in the functional properties of platelets, tachycardia, bradycardia, weakness, rash.
Interactions: Antacids reduce maximum concentrations due to decreased absorption. Indirect anticoagulants and aspirin enhance the effect, xanthine derivatives weaken it (especially coronary dilator), heparin increases the risk of hemorrhagic complications.
Overdose: In case of overdose, short-term hypotension is possible. Treatment: administration of vasopressor agents.
Special instructions: Impaired liver function and biliary tract obstruction necessitate a dose reduction. When coronary steal syndrome occurs, aminophylline is indicated to improve intracardiac blood flow.
