Apo-Metronidazole, manufactured in Canada, is a pharmaceutical drug intended for the treatment of various protozoal infections such as trichomoniasis, amoebiasis, giardiasis, giardiasis and others. It belongs to the pharmacological group of drugs for the treatment of these infections.

Apo-Metronidazole is used to treat a wide range of diseases. It is effective for amebiasis, trichomoniasis, giardiasis, giardiasis, intra-abdominal infections (such as peritonitis and abscesses), anaerobic bone and joint infections, skin and soft tissue infections, female genital infections (such as endometritis and tubo-ovarian abscesses), central nervous system infections (meningitis and brain abscesses), lower respiratory tract (pneumonia, empyema, lung abscess), endocarditis, pseudomembranous colitis, Helicobacter pylori eradication, treatment of chronic alcoholism and prevention of postoperative anaerobic infections. The drug can also be used for external and local use in the treatment of rosacea and vulgar acne, bacterial vaginosis, long-term non-healing wounds and trophic ulcers.

Apo-Metronidazole has some contraindications. Its use is not recommended in case of hypersensitivity to metronidazole or other nitroimidazole derivatives, during pregnancy and lactation, as well as in children (except in cases of treatment of amoebiasis).

Some side effects may occur with the use of Apo-Metronidazole, including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, metallic taste in the mouth, drowsiness, headache, allergic reactions and dysuria. Changes in the blood, such as leukopenia and thrombocytopenia, are also possible. Taking this drug may cause your urine to change color to dark red or brown.
