Areflexia Constitutional

AREFLEXIA (mental state. Amy syndrome) is a special type of mental disorder observed in various organic diseases of the brain caused by dysfunction of its higher brain structures. These include ecphoria, fugue, etc. I am already familiar with some of them. They arise mainly when certain areas of the limbic system and mediobasal parts of the frontal lobes are damaged in people at different age periods of life, but more often in children during the period of active maturation of higher mental functions. Such persons sometimes do not show the reaction of laughter to an explosive situation; deviations are possible during “emotional con-
