Peroneal artery [A. Peronea (Fibularis), Pna]

The peroneal arteries are thin tubular structures that pass through the cavity of the knee joint and are important arteries for the peripheral circulation of the lower extremity. Their name comes from the Latin word "fibula", which means "little bone".

The peroneal vessels are located below the knee, between the extensor tendons of the foot and the tibialis muscle.
