Artery Rectal Middle

Rectal artery, middle, a. rectalis medium - a branch of the lower rectal plexus, departs from the abdominal-rectal artery and, in the thickness of the internal obturator nerve, enters the pelvic cavity at the level of the sacrospinous line. Along the middle sacral and anterior sacral recesses, the arteries rise upward and form an anastomosis with the superior rectal arteries, which anastomose with each other and with the uterine artery and flow into the middle and uterine vein.
