Aspecard is an anti-inflammatory agent derived from salicylic acid and is used medicinally to treat a wide range of diseases. The drug is produced in Ukraine by the company Concern Stirol and has the international name acetylsalicylic acid.

Aspecard are tablets with the active substance acetylsalicylic acid in a dosage of 100 mg. It is used for the treatment of rheumatism, rheumatoid arthritis, infectious-allergic myocarditis, pain syndrome of various etiologies (headache, migraine, toothache, neuralgia, myalgia, arthralgia, algodismenorrhea), thrombosis and thromboembolism (prevention), myocardial infarction (secondary prevention), coronary heart disease, unstable angina, cardiac arrhythmias, etc.

However, the use of Aspecard has a number of contraindications, including hypersensitivity, erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract in the acute phase, gastrointestinal bleeding, aspirin-induced asthma, bleeding disorders, vitamin K deficiency, severe renal failure, the first trimester of pregnancy and lactation. The drug is also prescribed with caution to patients with gout, liver diseases and children under 12 years of age with hyperthermia due to viral diseases.

When using Aspecard, side effects may occur, such as nausea, anorexia, gastralgia, diarrhea, erosive and ulcerative lesions and bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract, allergic reactions (skin rash, bronchospasm), renal and/or liver failure, thrombocytopenia, as well as dizziness, headache pain, reversible visual impairment, tinnitus, vomiting, bleeding, etc. At high doses, a decrease in the sense of hearing acuity, tinnitus, severe headaches may be observed, and bronchospasm is possible in predisposed patients.

During long-term therapy with Aspecard, it is necessary to regularly perform blood tests and examine stool for occult blood. Also, before surgery, it is necessary to stop taking the drug 5-7 days in order to reduce bleeding during surgery and prevent the development of postoperative complications.

Despite some side effects, Aspecard is one of the most common and effective anti-inflammatory drugs, which is widely used in medical practice. However, before starting to use Aspecard, you should consult your doctor to avoid possible complications and negative consequences.
