Gastropin is an m-anticholinergic blocker that has an antiulcer effect.

Country of origin - India.

Manufactured by Rusan Pharma (India).

The international name is pirenzepine.

Synonyms: Gastril, Gastrozem, Gastrozepin, Gastromen, Gastrocepin, Piregexal, Piren, Pirenzepin-Ratiopharm, Pirenzepin.

Dosage forms: tablets 25 mg, 50 mg, solution for injection 10 mg.

Ingredients: active ingredient - pirenzepine.

Indications for use: acute and chronic ulcers of the stomach and duodenum, hyperacid gastritis, ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, incl. medicinal.

Contraindications: not recommended in the first trimester of pregnancy.

Side effects: headache, dry mouth, accommodation disturbances, constipation/diarrhea.

Special instructions: if there is rapid improvement, do not stop taking it due to possible deterioration. Prescribed with caution for glaucoma and prostate hypertrophy. When administered intravenously, monitor the cardiovascular system. Use solutions no more than 12 hours.
