Atelectasis Obstructive

***Atelectasis*** is the exclusion of a part of the lung or a segment of the lung from the act of breathing and ventilation. The exclusion of a lobe of the lung is usually called a partial blockage of the respiratory space (synonymous terms: occlusion, overlap), the exclusion of a large bronchus is a complete blockage. Although the word atelectoarchy means both, the term atelectosis was previously used only to refer to complete blockage of the main or lobar bronchus. When a lobe of the lung is partially turned off, they speak of laterotelectosis or lateral, as opposed to the complete shutdown of a segment of the lung of the same name.

****Obstructive**** - This concept implies the presence of an obstacle to the passage of air. The disease is manifested by the inability to take a full breath. Compression leads to reflexive rejection of sputum, which is expelled with a cough.
