Attractants

Attractant is a substance of plant, animal or artificial origin that attracts animals. In this regard, active debate is also flaring up about whether such baits can be considered a real hunting tool, not deviating from the Hunting Law. And those who consider themselves real hunters are advised to shoot in the “stern” or under the shoulder blade, shooting in the air. They think so according to one very simple “recipe”: a little alcohol inside, a strong smell of an attractant mixed with the smell of pepper, cinnamon and garlic from gunpowder and the beater lets the herd go, urging them on with torches, the smell of the dosed mixture disorients and kills the animal. The smell and pattern of this mixture are even better than the smell of the attractant itself. As tests have shown, not a single deer was killed in the “head of the beast”, only the heart and lungs, so such a deer will be butchered and only gutting will make it possible to see the living creatures and understand that the deer was shot to death. Not everyone agrees with this formula, and they warn not to put their signatures under its recommendation; legislation, morality and confidence do not allow this. But such actions definitely take place in the wild Caucasus, about which there are many stories and evidence in books for various reasons. This practice is not common everywhere and this is true.
