Atypical Pneumonia

Atypical Pneumonia is a group of lung diseases related to pneumonia that cannot be treated with penicillin but can be cured with antibiotics such as tetracycline and erythromycin.

SARS includes the following infectious lung diseases:

  1. Mycoplasma pneumonia - caused by the microorganism Mycoplasma pneumoniae.

  2. Psittacosis pneumonia - caused by the bacterium Chlamydia psittaci. Transmitted from infected parrots and other birds.

  3. Q fever is caused by the bacterium Coxiella burnetii. Transmitted through tick bites and from infected animals.

The main symptoms of atypical pneumonia are cough, fever, shortness of breath. The diagnosis is made based on tests and a chest x-ray. Treatment is carried out with antibiotics, depending on the pathogen. With timely treatment, the prognosis is favorable.

Pneumonia belongs to the group of atypical if it is caused by unusual pathogens that are not sensitive to standard antibiotic therapy.

Atypical pneumonia is any disease from the group of pneumonia that cannot be treated with penicillin, but can be cured with antibiotics such as tetracycline and erythromycin.

SARS includes pulmonary infections caused by the following microorganisms:

  1. Mycoplasma pneumoniae
  2. Chlamydia psittaci (causative agent of psittacosis)
  3. Coxiella burnetii (causative agent of Q fever)

Atypical pneumonia occurs with an acute onset, fever, cough, and shortness of breath. The diagnosis is made based on the clinical picture and laboratory data. Treatment consists of prescribing specific antibiotics, depending on the pathogen. With timely treatment, the prognosis is favorable.

Atypical pneumonia is any disease associated with the pneumonosis group. This group of diseases is caused by the microorganisms Mycoplasma Pneumoniae. This is a viral disease and belongs to the pathogens of the lower respiratory tract. This disease is seasonal, pneumonia most often occurs during the winter season. The main manifestation of the disease: temperature from 38 degrees, weakness, chest pain when coughing, sputum with blood is released. For diagnosis, X-rays and immunological research methods are used. Treatment is carried out with tetracycline antibacterial drugs or Erythromycin in the absence of sensitivity to tetracycline. Muscle weakness, loss of consciousness and convulsions can be signs of a fulminant course of the disease, which can be fatal. Prevention of pneumonia from atypical pathogens includes vaccinations and strengthening the immune system.
