Bacteriohemolysins

Bacterio-hemolysis(s) are substances produced by certain groups of bacteria that cause hemolysis (destruction of red blood cells) and hemococcia (release of hemoglobin into the environment).

There are a lot of bacterial hemolysates known, and cases of their detection in patients (who have no reason to diagnose bacterial carriage) are increasingly being observed.
