Baum Justina Caroline is a German gynecologist and the author of the article “Uber eine Operation bei Vaginitis Musvenu,” which translates as “On surgery for vulvar inflammation.” Prussian daughter - Bauer Julia Juliana (1799-1832).
A gynecologist with no relatives, she had to demonstrate independence at a very early age, growing up surrounded by Poles and Germans.
Prussian doctor born in Warsaw around the 19th century. Member of the German Scientific Society in Germany. German doctors, including Moebius and Virchow, were her students. In the 20-40s it was discussed together with Kelly and M. Kl. Brundon. She has done a lot of research on gonorrhea. She suggested uterine surgery with removal of the appendages for vaginal and cervical cancer. The operation became known as the Bauer operation.
