Bergmann August Rolf Otto (November 27, 1881, Kingdom of Germany - November 2, 1914, Vienna, Austria-Hungary) was a German urologist (urogynecologist), hygienist and dynamic-static surgeon. A successor to the method of Alexander August von Hollo (Aur. v. Holl. 1850–1927), the founder of hygiene and urology. He is also known as one of the founders of surgical gynecological technology. Over his long life, he did a lot for the development of male sexual health, advocating the study of manifestations of sexuality and the problems of homo-, bi- and transgender. He developed many scientific disciplines that have become the scientific foundations of medicine, including the doctrine of infectious and inflammatory processes of the genitourinary system, and methods of treatment
