The abdominal cavity contains many vital organs, injury to which can be fatal. The internal organs located here, unlike other parts of the body, are deprived of protection. The most important organs are those that are easily injured and prone to severe bleeding when damaged, such as the liver and spleen.
Unlike the internal organs located in the chest or pelvis, the abdominal organs are practically not protected by bones.
