Warts are one of the unpleasant external defects of a person. They can appear anywhere - on the face, hands, toes. In some cases, warts enlarge and grow to large sizes, forming bumps (hard growths). They are called tubercles or gummas (gummosis - thickening, curvature); sometimes gumma is confused with a wart; in medicine, gummas are defined as granulating chronic focal osteomyelitis of the wart area. It is characterized by the formation of small-sized gummas, most often localized on the skin of the extremities of people in this risk group. Gummoma is caused by some microbes (up to 30 species). The disease accompanies the development of erysipelas of the skin of the leg and thigh in a general neuroinfectious disease of the brain. This leads to serious health consequences (spread of pathogens throughout the body, which cause, in addition to gummas, aneurysms, thrombophlebitis, endocarditis). It manifests itself as pronounced manifestations of an infectious lesion, including signs of general poisoning of the body (high fever, vomiting, headache).
