Bromhexine-Acre

Bromhexine-Acree: a mucolytic agent for the treatment of bronchopulmonary diseases

Bronchopulmonary diseases, such as bronchitis, pneumonia and obstructive pulmonary disease, can lead to impaired sputum production and cause various complications. To treat such conditions, mucolytic agents are used, which help liquefy sputum and remove it. One of these drugs is Bromhexine-Akri, produced by Akrikhin HFC in Russia.

Bromhexine-Acri contains the active ingredient - bromhexine, which is a mucolytic agent. The drug is available in the form of a syrup containing 4 mg bromhexine per 5 ml.

Indications for the use of Bromhexine-Acri include acute and chronic diseases of the bronchi and lungs with impaired sputum discharge. The drug can be used both for the treatment and prevention of these conditions.

Despite the effectiveness of the drug, it has a number of contraindications. Hypersensitivity to bromhexine, pregnancy (especially in the first trimester) and breastfeeding are contraindications to the use of Bromhexine-Acri. For gastric and duodenal ulcers, the drug should be taken with caution.

Side effects of Bromhexine-Acri may include gastrointestinal disorders, increased aminotransferase activity, allergic skin reactions and angioedema.

In addition, Bromhexine-Acri may interact with some other medicines. Codeine-containing drugs may make it difficult to clear liquefied sputum, and antibiotics such as erythromycin, cephalexin and oxytetracycline may penetrate the lung tissue better when used simultaneously with Bromhexine-Acri.

In general, Bromhexine-Acri is an effective mucolytic agent for the treatment of bronchopulmonary diseases with impaired sputum discharge. However, before using the drug, you should familiarize yourself with the contraindications and side effects, and if you have any questions or doubts, you should consult your doctor.
