Mucopurulent bronchitis is an acute or chronic inflammation of the bronchial mucosa. It is characterized by the appearance on the surface of the mucous membrane of purulent discharge, mucus and moderate catarrhal inflammation. In children, the acute process can be complicated by signs of severe intoxication, including: weakness, malaise, decreased appetite, increased body temperature to 38-40 degrees. Symptoms of the chronic process: cough, especially in the morning, copious expectoration of yellow-green sputum, mucous membranes are often moist, hyperthermia increases in the evenings when the temperature rises.
