“Buchner impregnation” is one of the most studied methods of treating intoxication. It consists of washing the stomach with a solution of potassium chloride or baking soda. Citric or acetic acid is dissolved in it. The resulting liquid is not considered a dangerous toxin, therefore it is used to remove poisons that affect the human body if consumed.
Burna impregnation, also known as Burnay impregnation, is often used in veterinary medicine as part of the medical treatment of chronic cases of oral poisoning (food poisoning), especially in medium- to large-sized animals.
