Anaplastic cancer is a malignant tumor characterized by a high degree of anaplasia (immaturity) of cells.
Peculiarities:

Tumor cells have a primitive structure and lack differentiation and specialization.
-
Rapid and infiltrative tumor growth.
-
High degree of malignancy and aggressiveness of the course.
-
More common in older people.
-
It can develop from different types of tissues (epithelial, connective, etc.).
-
Often metastasizes.
-
It is difficult to treat and the prognosis is poor.
Treatment includes combined methods - surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. However, complete cure is difficult due to the rapid progression of the tumor. The prognosis depends on the location, stage and general condition of the patient.
