Cefzid

Cefzidide is a drug that belongs to the group of antibiotics from the cephalosporin group. It was developed in India and is manufactured by Protech Biosystems Pvt. Ltd.

Ceftridide is a powder for the preparation of injection solutions containing the active substance ceftazidam. This drug can be used as an antibiotic to treat a variety of infections, including infections of the lower respiratory tract, soft tissue, and urinary tract. In addition, it is used to treat septic conditions, endometritis and pelvioperitonitis.

Contraindications to the use of Ceftazidide include hypersensitivity to beta-lactams (i.e., cephalosporins), pregnancy, and breastfeeding. It is also important to note that some patients may experience side effects such as headache, nausea, dizziness, seizures and allergic reactions.
