Cyanospermia

Cyanospermia
Cyanospermia (lat. Cyanospermum) is a genus of flowering plants of the Cyanaceae family.

There are about 25 species of cyanospermia. These are perennial plants with creeping or erect stems up to 1.5 m high. The leaves are opposite, petiolate, whole or serrated, rough along the edges. The flowers are large, axillary, solitary or in few-flowered racemes. The petals are white or pink, with a blue or purple spur (hence the name of the genus). The fruit is a fleshy berry, usually red.

Cyanospermia is mainly common in southern China, India and other countries of South and Southeast Asia. Some species live in tropical forests in the Philippines. In Russia, cyanospermia can be found in the Far East in the Primorsky Territory.
