Cladotrichosis

Cladotrichosis, also Nocardiosis, is the common name for two infections associated with gram-positive fungi, usually belonging to the family Nocardiaceae. Cladosporium herbarum is pathogenic in humid conditions, especially when it can associate with Aspergillus niger. Due to the similarity in morphology of Cladosporiuim to other fungi, Cladosporiuim can only be determined microscopically, although it may test positive when grown in the presence of Aspergilli inocula.
