Clofelin

Clonidine is a psychotropic (sedative), cardiotoxic, antihypertensive drug. When taken orally, disorders of consciousness (stunning, disorientation, coma) first develop. Then the heart rate slows down (sinus bradycardia), and blood pressure decreases.

During the day, severe weakness, impaired coordination of movements, and ataxia persist. Orthostatic collapse is possible. Amnesia throughout the entire period of poisoning is characteristic.

Treatment:

  1. Gastric lavage through a tube, taking activated charcoal orally, saline laxative.

  2. Forced diuresis, in severe cases - hemosorption.

  3. For bradycardia - 1 ml of 0.1% atropine solution subcutaneously again, 2 ml of 0.05% solution of orciprenaline sulfate.

  4. Prescription of cardiovascular drugs, bed rest.
