Condyloma Flat

Condyloma planum is a viral disease caused by a group of human papilloma viruses (HPV). This disease manifests itself in the form of flat, bumpy formations on the skin and mucous membranes.

Condyloma flata is one of the most common types of condylomatosis, which is transmitted through sexual contact with an infected partner. It usually appears in young people between 15 and 30 years of age.

Symptoms of condyloma plana include the appearance of many flat, bumpy formations on the skin and mucous membranes, which may be painless or cause itching and discomfort. Typically, these lesions range in size from 2 to 5 mm and can be located on any part of the body, including the genitals, anus, mouth and throat.

The diagnosis of condyloma plana is usually made based on visual examination of the formations, as well as on the basis of biopsy results. If you suspect that you have this disease, be sure to consult a dermatologist or venereologist.

Treatment for condyloma plana may include chemical burn removal of the lesions, cryotherapy (removal of lesions using liquid nitrogen), laser therapy, or surgical removal. In addition, patients are advised to increase their immunity, lead a healthy lifestyle and avoid contact with infected partners.

In general, flat condyloma is a disease that can be successfully treated if you consult a doctor in a timely manner and follow prevention recommendations. If you notice symptoms of this disease, do not delay visiting a specialist!
