Core Ossification

**Ossification nucleus.**

The ossification nucleus is the area within the bone that experiences the first bone formation. According to scientists, this can already occur in the embryo, only later the process ossifies and fills all segments/zones. All bone tissue is involved in this process. The nucleus is the structural unit of all bones. However, one of the reasons for the onset of the development of pathologies (pathologies associated with pathological changes in tissue functionality) may be the rapid ossification observed in children before the appearance of the nucleus. During the study, the most informative methods are computer/magnetic resonance imaging, radiography, and osteoscintigraphy.

**Ossification point**. This is the area of the bone where the nucleus begins to form. For children its meaning is different. This is partly due to the fact that the skeleton of any person is formed gradually throughout life. Thus, in adults, the ossification nucleus is located in almost all areas of the bone. The point itself has a round shape. There are special formulas and methods to determine the ossification point. These include postvariations in the angles of articulation of the joint and assessment of the condition of different parts of the skeleton, including the hip, and the length of the limbs.
