Cosmetic ice: how to use it correctly and which herbs are suitable for different skin types

Cosmetic ice is a procedure that can be used to care for the skin of the face and body. This procedure rejuvenates the skin, smoothes wrinkles, tightens pores and promotes a natural glow. The use of cosmetic ice is much more effective than washing with water in the morning, and it is ideal for use in the summer, when the skin needs especially careful care.

Usually ice for rubbing is made independently from water or herbal infusions, but not all herbs are suitable for different skin types. And tap water is not suitable for making ice cubes. The most acceptable option would be still mineral water.

There are several herbal infusions that can be used for all skin types. These include chamomile, string, mint, St. John's wort, sage and linden blossom. They have excellent soothing and antiseptic properties and effectively moisturize the skin.

For each skin type, you can choose certain herbs and berries that will be most beneficial. Let's look at the most suitable herbs for each skin type.

Normal skin

For normal skin, it is recommended to use a decoction of valerian officinalis, which can be mixed with plantain and yarrow. Tricolor violet and dill will be useful. A decoction of these herbs is made in the same way as the universal one, and is stored for the same amount of time.

Dry skin

For dry skin, it is recommended to use ice made from herbs, berries and fruits. For this skin type, a collection of blood-red hawthorn, Eleutherococcus senticosus, and dandelion root is indispensable. Ice is prepared in the usual way and stored for the same amount of time. You can make cosmetic ice from infusions of berries, preferably red ones. Pour 3 tablespoons of berries into 2 cups of cold water. After 2-3 hours, filter the resulting liquid and freeze.

For dry skin, rowan ice is recommended. Pour 2 tablespoons of berries into 1 glass of hot water, leave for about 1 hour and then freeze. This ice can be stored in the freezer for up to five days.

Oily skin

Herbs that are most suitable for oily skin types include arnica montana, calendula officinalis, motherwort, sage, chamomile and St. John's wort. Ice is prepared from a decoction of these herbs mixed in equal proportions. To do this, take 1 tablespoon of each herb, add 2 glasses of cold water and leave for several hours. Then strain and freeze.

Sensitive skin

For sensitive skin, it is recommended to use ice made from infusions of chamomile, calendula, lemon balm and motherwort. To make ice, take 1 tablespoon of each herb and add 2 cups of cold water. Leave for several hours, strain and freeze.

Combination skin

For combination skin, you can use ice made from a mixture of herbs that are suitable for oily and normal skin. For example, you can use a decoction of sage, St. John's wort and chamomile, mixed in equal proportions. To make ice, take 1 tablespoon of each herb, add 2 cups of cold water, leave for several hours, strain and freeze.

Cosmetic ice is a simple and affordable way to improve skin condition. It can be used for any skin type if you choose the right herbs and follow the directions for use. Cosmetic ice can be used morning and evening after cleansing the skin to enhance the effect of cosmetic products and strengthen the skin.
