Curette

Curette (French curette) is a surgical instrument designed to remove pathologically altered tissue from the surface of bones, cavities and canals.

Curettes come in pointed and blunt types. Pointed curettes are used to scrape tissue from hard surfaces, such as in the treatment of osteomyelitis. Blunt curettes are used to carefully remove soft tissue from cavities and canals, for example, when curettage of the uterine cavity.

Curettes are made of stainless steel. The working part of the curette can be straight, curved or spoon-shaped - depending on the application. The handle is comfortable to grip and manipulate the tool.

Curettes are widely used in surgery, gynecology, dentistry, otolaryngology and other fields of medicine. Correct use of curettes allows you to remove pathological tissue as carefully and thoroughly as possible.
