Daleron S: application, side effects, contraindications and features
Daleron S is a combination drug containing paracetamol and ascorbic acid, used to treat moderate and mild pain, colds and infectious and inflammatory diseases. Produced by Krka from Slovenia.
Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic that blocks the production of prostaglandins, which cause pain and inflammation. Ascorbic acid is a vitamin C that is involved in many processes in the body, including the immune system.
Daleron C is available in the form of hot drink granules containing 500 mg paracetamol and 20 mg ascorbic acid. The drug is not recommended for children under 6 years of age and pregnant or breastfeeding women.
When used correctly, Daleron S is usually well tolerated, but side effects such as allergic skin reactions, dizziness, nausea, vomiting and liver and kidney dysfunction may occur with long-term use in high doses. You should also not simultaneously use other drugs containing paracetamol or other non-narcotic analgesics and NSAIDs.
Contraindications to the use of Daleron S include hypersensitivity to paracetamol and other components of the drug, severe liver or kidney dysfunction, genetic absence of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (risk of hemolytic anemia) and blood diseases.
With long-term (more than 5 days) use of Daleron S, monitoring of the peripheral blood picture and the functional state of the liver is necessary. Treatment of Daleron S overdose includes immediate gastroenteral decontamination and symptomatic therapy.
In general, Daleron S is an effective and safe drug for the treatment of moderate and mild pain, colds and infectious-inflammatory diseases when used correctly and following the doctor’s recommendations. However, before starting to use Daleron S, you must consult your doctor and read the instructions for use.
