Deafness

Hearing muteness (audimutitas) is a combined hearing and speech disorder in which the child cannot develop normally due to the lack of auditory sensations and the ability to speak.

The causes of hearing loss can be congenital or acquired. Congenital disorders include genetic disorders, infections and injuries in the prenatal period. Acquired causes are most often infectious diseases, injuries, intoxications that disrupt the auditory and speech analyzers.

Deaf children experience delayed speech and mental development. Lack of speech leads to impaired thinking. Such children experience difficulties in communication, learning, and socialization.

To overcome hearing loss, special correctional classes are conducted. It is important to start developing your child’s hearing, speech and communication skills as early as possible. This allows him to maximize his potential and successfully integrate into society.
