Keychain dermatitis is a skin disease that can occur in people of any age and gender. This is a syndrome that can be associated with an allergic reaction to various metals present in key chains, backpack charms, jewelry and other items on which they are mounted. The most common metals that cause skin irritation are nickel and chromium, but reactions to other metals such as copper, aluminum and tin are also possible.

Symptoms of keychain dermatitis may include redness, swelling and itching in the area of ​​skin that comes into contact with the metal. This usually occurs on the wrists, fingers or chest.
