Dermatitis Traumatic

Prolonged exposure to irritating factors on the skin can lead to traumatic dermatitis. The causes may be chemical agents, mechanical damage, high temperatures, radiation. Traumatic dermatitis can be acute (lasting from several hours to several days) and chronic. Acute traumatic dermatitis is characterized by the presence of erythema, itching, blisters, erosions or ulcers in areas of the skin that have been exposed to prolonged exposure to an external factor. Chronic traumatic dermatitis is characterized by the presence of nodules, indurations, thickenings, spots, indentations and hyperkeratosis (thickening of the stratum corneum of the skin) on the affected areas. Self-medication of traumatic dermatitis is prohibited. It is necessary to consult a dermatologist to make an accurate diagnosis and prescribe appropriate treatment.
