Dermatomyoma

Dermatomes are benign tumors that form between the layers of muscle and the skin. Swelling, softness, redness of the skin, as well as pathological compaction in the area of the formation are very noticeable. Such tumors are benign neoplasms, that is, they will not develop into a malignant tumor, but they will have to be treated, as they can cause serious inconvenience.

Causes of dermatoma: * skin injuries; * smoking; * due to disruption of metabolic processes in cells; * heredity; *obesity. Dermatomes are considered to be non-inflammatory tumors. They can be located in different parts of the human body.

There are dermatomes on the left and right sides of the human body. Depending on the location, different types of tumors are formed: vulgar, palpebral, periorbital, on the neck, on the limbs, torso or mammary gland. They often occur as a result of injury. Trauma or mechanical damage to the skin provokes the penetration of any substances into the intercellular space. Cell proliferation gradually leads to the appearance of a tumor. Each benign tumor grows relatively slowly. Histologically, a dermatomal tumor is formed by inflammatory connective tissue elements, skin fibers, and nerves.
