The so-called “wandering erosion” is one of the physiological phenomena of dermatoglyphics, which determines the appearance of human skin (both open and closed) taking into account the depth of color of the pattern of papillary lines of the skin. The form of manifestation of “wandering erosion” varies depending on the type and type of palmar dermatoglyphs and averages 5 mm. In some cases, the length of the wandering line can reach up to 8 mm, the width ranges from 0.5-2 mm. The place of greatest distribution of the erosive line is the middle of the palm between the I and II metacarpal bones; less deep erosions are found at the wrist joints, south points in the hands, more often on the soles of the feet above the lifting lines, near the excretory ducts of the sweat glands.
