Desmoid Test

The desmoid test for medicine is one of the classic studies in the field of psychiatry. The desmoid itself (button) is a small cone-shaped object. Previously, such a button, in its absence, could be found in every department of medical institutions, this was only possible because it was used by experienced experienced doctors, but today many do not know about its significance and are simply surprised by the presence of the button or refuse its help. In this text we will try to understand where the button is used, how to use it and what its meaning is.

Desmoid tests are used to study the properties of fabrics in the production of foundry molds and in artistic foundry to protect thin surfaces from mechanical damage. Two tasks can be distinguished:

1. Study of the properties of the casting mold, ensuring the achievement of metal strength on the free surface of the stamping material. 2. Development of cooling modes that prevent the appearance of cracks on the casting.

More reliable are the test results obtained during the forging period of the foundry. Desmo tests are carried out to determine the cooling rate of the cast punch. The cooling rate is measured by analyzing the change in surface hardness of the casting mold over time. Changes in hardness associated with cooling are assessed by the magnitude of the load that destroys the sample. If the cast mold, poured out of the mold, is heated to a certain temperature, then during testing one should expect an increase in the rate of setting of the binder, especially in the near-surface layers of the mold. Therefore, an increase in sample hardness does not always indicate an increase in the adhesive strength of the material. to install
