What is Dejean's syndrome?
Dejean's syndrome is a condition in which there is a pulsation of the eyeballs, usually behind the eye. This is accompanied by nausea, dizziness and pain. This is a rare disease that is diagnosed by ophthalmologists. Its causes are problems of the circulatory system or tumors.
Dejean syndrome was first described in 1978 by the French ophthalmologist Dr. Serge Girardot. The name of the syndrome comes from his name - Denis deJanz. In 1844, ophthalmologist Jules Alfred Dejaz reported a case of a myopic young man, age 37, with fever complicated by cataract syndrome. The patient had recently suffered apoplexy of the left eye, but after that he recovered very quickly. Soon there was a new episode of hemorrhagic fever and abscessation of the oculomotor muscles. Gradually the young man was incapacitated by cataract syndrome and then died. Dejaz believed that both cases were caused by a mechanical foreign body in the patient's pupil. Such a diagnosis
