Diabetes Pregnancy

A pregnant woman with diabetes will be able to occasionally indulge in pieces of forbidden foods if she learns to independently control and adjust her blood sugar levels. There are special devices for this - glucometers. The best of them, although they are the cheapest, are domestic.

A woman eats ice cream or a piece of cake, and then pricks her finger and moistens a special strip with a drop of blood. After a minute, she already knows how much sugar she has, and if its level is elevated, she adds a dose of insulin to herself. It is extremely important that the patient can monitor herself daily, if necessary, even several times a day, and not rely on the doctor who prescribes tests for her from time to time.

Thus, a pregnant woman, with the help of doctors, may well be able to prevent herself from contracting pregestational diabetes or get rid of it at the very initial stage, if, of course, she treats herself well.
