Dibk - mistletoe

Essence.
Mistletoe is famous. Its fruits look like black peas; they are not quite round and wrinkled; if you break them, they make your hand sticky. Mistletoe is found on oak, apple and pear trees. It contains great watery and airy power.

Choice.
Good mistletoe is fresh, smooth, leek-like in color inside and green outside. Mistletoe is pounded, washed and then boiled.

Nature.
Mistletoe warms only after it has been left for a long time, like wild rue gum, but has a weaker effect in this regard. Mistletoe contains excess unripe moisture, but in general it is hot and dry to the third degree.

Actions and properties.
It is a dissolving medicine; it dissolves thick liquids, lifting them from the depths, as it draws out and softens with force.

Some doctors, however, say: “Mistletoe has no effect on liquid moisture.”

Cosmetics.
It makes your legs go bad if you put arsenic on them.

Tumors and acne.
Mistletoe resolves cold tumors, especially if thickened with lime, helps against urticaria and “daughters of the night.”

Wounds and ulcers.
Mistletoe softens old ulcers and malignant wounds.

Tools with joints.
Mistletoe with an equal amount of ratinage and the same amount of wax softens the joints.

Organs of the head.
Mixed with ratinaj and wax, it helps against cold swellings behind the ears.

Nutritional organs.
Mistletoe softens the spleen if it is applied to this organ with certain spleen-strengthening substances, such as lime.
